Meek’s Catering Booking Terms & Conditions

In order to avoid any misunderstandings regarding your booking, please note the following terms & conditions of Meek’s Catering Company

  • 25% non refundable deposit is to be paid on acceptance of the quotation. The deposit also confirms the booking for the date requested. Please note: Bookings are provisional until a deposit is received.
  • Deposits are non refundable in the event of cancellation.
  • The outstanding balance is to be paid 14 days prior to event.
  • Events cancelled with less than 2 weeks notice will be charged at the following:

10 – 14 days 50% of the estimated final invoice.

5-9 days 75% of the estimated final invoice.

4 days re-invoiced and charged at 100%.

However, if at the time of cancellation any equipment or services have already been ordered from our suppliers & cannot be cancelled for whatever reason, you will be charged the full price for these costs.

Finalised guest numbers and menu choices are required 14 days prior to event.

Access to a power point may be required for outdoor events.

Travel within a 20 mile radius of Gillingham, Dorset is free of charge. Outside of this radius fuel charges of £1.00 per mile will be incurred.

Oven or refrigeration hire charges may occur for outdoor events, depending on the size of event, & the location of your event.

Extra staff costs may occur depending on finalised guest numbers & the requirements needed at your event.

On the day of your event, if Meek’s Catering Company staff have to work longer than stated on your catering invoice for additional customer requirements/requests or unforeseen circumstances, you will be re-invoiced for the additional staff costs.

If Meek’s Catering Company is not providing crockery, cutlery, glassware & linen for an event It is the customers responsibility to ensure all items have a ‘dirty return’ surcharge. It is not the responsibility of Meek’s Catering Company to clean any crockery, cutlery, glassware & linen unless prior arranged and charged accordingly.

Meek’s Catering Company shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to provide services as a result of any act or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. For example equipment failure or power failure.

If property of Meek’s Catering Company is wilfully or negligently damaged at a function the replacement cost is payable by the client.

If a client’s property is wilfully or negligently damaged by ourselves we will pay the replacement cost.

Accidental damage should be covered by the client’s own insurance and no claim can be accepted by ourselves.

Ingredients of menus/dishes may be subject to change due to produce availability or seasonality.
